Goodwill Sessions

The goodwill patterns, originally derived from the Beatitudes, are tools for developing the 'will-to-good'.

In these sessions, we explore how we can develop goodwill through meditation and action to change how we think and how we create the world around us.

Each session stands alone with a focus on one of the eight mind-sets that make up the goodwill patterns.

Khooba: finding the good in all things

Saturday 29th September 2007    10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The focus here is on developing the openness to seeing the positive in ourselves, others and the challenges life presents us. Through exercises and discussion, we explore how such an attitude can increase our joy in life.

Makikh: understanding our needs accurately

Saturday 20th October 2007    10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Developing Makikh helps us understand how people's behaviour, however dysfunctional and destructive, derives from seeking to get basic and valid needs met. Makikh allows us to become aware of what our true needs are and to relate more compassionately to others.

Rukha: to be at home in peace

Saturday 10th November 2007    10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

We all can achieve peace when meditating but how do we hold on to an attitude of serenity when being unjustly criticised and unfairly treated? In this seminar, we explore how to achieve inner peace in a turbulent world.

The Power of Forgiveness

Saturday 8th December 2007    10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Forgiveness is the cancellation of all conditions preventing the flow of love and joy through you, independently of the behaviour of others or outer circumstances. In this seminar, we begin to work with the extraordinary transformative power of forgiveness.
